Sewing Schools

Village R - New Sewing School Building

Three years ago, we began the journey of creating a 3-year Tailor Sewing School program for the women of Village R in Burkina Faso. It is a government certified program, that recently changed to a 2-year program. The building we have been using belongs to the chief. In one year, the chief needs it for the Alphabetization School to teach women how to read and write.

That means we need our own building!

Our goal is to build a new building for 30 women.

Village V - Sewing Trade School

Three years ago, we began the journey of creating a 3-year Tailor Sewing School for the women of Village V in Burkina Faso. This program was to provide a trade for young women, who were slaves, orphans, or destined for abuse, who would have otherwise never had an opportunity to go to school or learn a trade for themselves.

The program has been so successful! It is our wish that we can provide another school like it, in an area where there is none other within 60 miles.

Our goal is to provide for a building, sewing machines, tables, and supplies for 50 women.

Period Pad Project

It is our hope to bring the girls and women of Burkina Faso out of the shame that surrounds this topic. Our sewing school ladies sew period pads for us to distribute and educate the women regarding their bodies, cleanliness, pregnancy, empowerment, and the cultural shaming surrounding this topic.

Our goal is to provide 1,000 pads & 1,000 pairs of undies.
