Village Christmas Celebration

Every year at Christmas time, our schools in all three villages host a Christmas Feast! The feasts are open and free for the entire village to attend. For only $30, one family can eat, enjoy music and dancing, receive a child's gift, and hear the Gospel!

Give a Gift to the Kids

This year we have three secondary school 7-10th graders in three villages. We are excited to continue our legacy of the best schools in the nation! We want to open a computer lab in each of our three secondary schools and our high school in Rialo; each lab consists of five computers. The kids will be on rotation to learn how to use a computer, type, and operate basic Microsoft programs.

Feed Our 1600 Kids for the School Year

In all of our schools, we have over 1600 kids and only 600 are sponsored. This creates a big gap as we feed all the kids who come! YOU can bridge the gap. Our goal is to have the 2021-2022 school year fully funded by the end of this year.

Disciple the Kids

Discipling the kids is what WITLI is all about! To have more intentional time with the kids, we are expanding our discipleship program to add an after-school program on Thursday and Saturday. We will be providing another meal for the kids who stay as a way to not only care for them, but also to encourage more kids to participate. All three villages combined will cost $1000 per month; our goal is have the 2021-2022 school year funded by the end of this year!

Give a Gift to Our Teachers

Our teachers are like missionaries; they are not from the villages the serve in. Then they join the team, they move out to the village and serve as teachers and pastors to the children. We provide housing for them and desire to take good care of them. Ten teachers need their houses repainted; each house costs $550.

We have various urgent, education development projects in the works. These include, electricity, toilets, paperwork, administration building, school building painting and maintenance.

Give Towards Our Ministry Fund

Walk in the Light has over 70 team members in Burkina; directors, teachers, nurses, dentists, and security guards. It takes every single one to operate the life-changing programs we have established! Our programs include discipleship, education, health care, and microfinance. The ministry is able to run 365 days per year because of people like YOU who give! Our Gap Fund is about $12,000 per month; we need $12,000 for the rest of 2021 and would like to add $24,000 before the year end to start off 2022 ahead.

Give Towards Our Refugee Fund & Church Planting Fund Through Light of Nations 

Each month, we help hundreds of refugees from war in North Burkina with various needs; food, clothes, and resources. We do monthly crusades and are building a church in Ouagadougou. The church will be an equipping center for our School of Ministry. The school will  be raising up and sending pastors throughout the country of Burkina Faso!
